Our Mission

Building independence through immersive, travel-based skill-building and community navigation across Florida and the United States.

At Hope House United, we believe that true independence is not learned inside four walls. Our Companion Services program includes travel throughout the State of Florida as well as multi-state experiences as a primary classroom. Through navigating out-of-state transit and practicing social skills in new environments, our travel-based supports are core interventions designed to meet the goals in each consumers Person-Centered Support Plan.

By providing structured support in real-life settings, these services promote skill development, personal choice, and active participation in everyday activities. Companion Services goes beyond basic caregiving as it separate and distinct from any Residential Habilitation programs — it creates opportunities outside of the home for learning, exploration, and truly belonging.

Consumers learn how to navigate major airports, housing and accommodations, practice self-advocacy and schedule-management in diverse metropolitan settings.
